The Texas Gulf Coast's premiere classical music organization, the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra offers the area a diverse array of professional concerts ranging from Bach to pops. Past shows include Verdi's "Requiem" and an evening of beloved melodies from the Romantic Era. It plays most of its shows at the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Texas A & M University, about eight miles down the coast from downtown.
