Featuring plants either native or adapted to the climate of the region, the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature center encapsulates nearly 200 acres. Alternately known as the Corpus Christi Botanical Gardens, visitors can stroll along scenic trails that pass garden areas like the rose garden and plumeria collection. A stunning orchid greenhouse contains a vast array of orchid varieties, and the exhibit house has seasonally changing displays and events. Located about 10 miles south of downtown, the gardens are just over the water from Kings Crossing Golf Course.
